Lemonade Stand is a simulation game and it’s not hard to guess what it simulates. It makes you the owner of your own lemonade stand. Alexa will let you know the weather forecast for the day. With it enabled, Alexa will not only tell you who won but also explain how and keep a record of your wins and tell you who racked up the most wins over several rounds. Dungeon Adventure
Another classic, but not so much for older people as for kids. Dungeon games were a favorite amongst the generation that grew up without computers. These were even popular when computers were not powerful enough. Text-based adventure games almost always had a dungeon. Dungeon Adventure is similar, in that you don’t get to see the game on a screen. Instead, you hear Alexa describe the situation you’re in, and you let your imagination do the rest. Of course, you respond to situations with your voice here, instead of text or gamepad input. As for the story, you are the hero of the town of Ravensburg, which is under attack from an evil necromancer and his monsters. Your tasks are usual if you’ve played any roleplaying games before. These are creating your character, buying and selling items, fighting the monsters in the dungeon, and hunting for treasure. You get to improve your character attributes as the game progresses. With this game, you can turn a social scene into a merry party scene. The game you usually play with friends can now be played with Alexa’s assistance. It even recognizes when you don’t give a complete answer. You can play it, use it as an ice breaker or enjoy it with friends. Say, “Alexa, play ‘Would you rather?” to play the game. Bingo
Bingo is a timeless classic that you may have heard of even if you’re not familiar with it. It’s a voice-based game but you can use the Alexa app on your smartphone for assistance. Each number that Alexa calls can be repeated, and it can be seen on the Alexa app. To advance to the next number you’ll have to say “Next” or “Call the next number.” Anytime someone says “Bingo” during the game, the game will end. Akinator Safari is a really nice time pass game to play with Alexa. It’s essentially a form of 20 questions where the player thinks of an animal and answers a series of yes-or-no questions. Alexa will be constantly trying to guess the character you were thinking of. Your job is to stump Alexa but if you’re not answering truthfully, the game’s not much fun. Earplay
Earplay is more like a radio drama from the golden age than a game but you interact with it using your voice. And that’s what a game is right? Where you get to interact with the characters and affect the story in some play, or at least be a part of it. Like Dungeon Adventure and other choose-your-own-adventure games on Alexa, your responses affect the outcome of the story here. Escape the Room
This is a game that is designed to test your powers of observation and inference. You start the game inside a locked room. You can use “Look,” “Inspect,” and “Use” to study the contents of the room and employ them to make your escape. Since you don’t really observe much without a screen the contents of the room are described to you. This is slightly easier than seeing in this particular scenario. In order to get out, you will need to search the room, pick up items, and solve puzzles. There are multiple rooms to choose from and you can also ask for hints if you’re stuck. The SpongeBob Challenge is a simple game that you’ll want your child to play all the time. It’s not only meant for kids though. The game is simple, and it requires you to use your memory. If you’ve seen SpongeBob, you know how the Krusty Krab crew takes orders from customers. All you have to do is remember the customer orders.
